Stories of Service
Thank you for the time, energy, and heart you give to Kiwanis. Every meeting you attend, every project you lead, and every invitation you extend helps a child believe that someone cares.
I believe this is our moment—not simply to maintain what we have built, but to expand our reach and multiply our impact.
For 30 years, my professional life centered on young children. I know that when we support a child early, we strengthen a family. When we strengthen families, we strengthen communities.
That is why PennAEYC is the focus of my Governor’s Project. This partnership can unite Kiwanis service with early-childhood advocacy and professional support. But a partnership is only powerful when people act. I will need every club to participate, every leader to share the vision, and every member to help turn our commitment into measurable results.
Our goals for 2026–2027 are ambitious: build six new Kiwanis clubs, add one Voices club, charter five new Student Leadership Programs, help two clubs rise above charter strength, share more Kiwanis stories, and strengthen Club Leadership Education and Training.
These are not just organizational goals. Six new clubs mean six more communities served. Five new student programs mean more young leaders learning that service can become a lifelong calling. Stronger clubs mean more mentors, more projects, and more children reached.
So today, I ask you to reflect upon three things: 1 What is your Kiwanis Why? #2 How will you put children at the heart of your Kiwanis club (start a new project that focuses on young children.) #3 HOW WILL YOU HELP YOUR CLUB GROW? If each of us acts, our combined impact will reach far beyond our communities.
Kiwanis exists to improve the world one child and one community at a time. Let us make that mission visible across Pennsylvania.
Together, we can honor our history, lead with courage, and build a future in which every child knows their community believes in them.
