The 2025-2026 administrative year Governor’s project is Mental Health Matters. This is quite poignant topic for everyone as it addresses Mental Health Awareness as well as Mental Health Wellness and Mindfulness. It brings light to decrease stigma, but also shows that mental health affects ALL OF US.
Over this year, we will be sharing many ways that you and your club/division and region can support Mental Health efforts. Some ways you can address this theme are:
Participate in events: Look for local and online events hosted by organizations like NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and Active Minds, helping to provide resources, raise awareness, and empower those in need.
Educate yourself and others: Share information, raise awareness, and help breakdown the stigma associated with mental illness.
Take a screening: Use anonymous online screening tools to check in with your mental health.
Donate and advocate: Support mental health organizations and advocate for bettermental healthcare access. The 2 Mental Health Organizations we are supporting through this Governor’s Project are: NAMI and Active Minds.
Take action to help millions of Americans get the mental health support they need and deserve. No one should have to face mental health struggles alone. By standing together, we can spread the message that help is available and hope is real.
Make a difference today — consider donating to the Governor’s Project and be part of the solution.
To contribute you may pay via check made payable to PENNSYLVANIA KIWANIS FOUNDATION or complete the donation online.
If you send a check, please denote in the MEMO section that the donation is for the GOVERNOR PROJECT. Mail Checks to: Pennsylvania Kiwanis Foundation, P.O. Box 48, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
