Governor’s Blog: Embrace New Opportunities

June 4, 2024 – As we welcome the vibrant month of June with longer and brighter days ahead, it’s the perfect time to embrace new beginnings and fresh opportunities.

Join us once again for another education session on Monday June 10th at 7:00 pm for a presentation titled “Unlocking the Full Potential of Your Kiwanis Membership” led by guest Cynthia Blackman, Governor-Elect Designate from the Eastern Canada & the Caribbean District, where we delve into strategies and tips to maximize your experience as a Kiwanian.  Cynthia a great supporter and friend to PA District, has been a Kiwanian for twenty-four years and is an active member of three Kiwanis clubs.

Whether you’re a seasoned member or just starting your Kiwanis journey, this session will provide valuable insights on how to fully engage with the organization at all levels, leverage resources effectively, and make a meaningful impact in your community. Get ready to discover new opportunities, connect with fellow members, and unlock the full potential of your Kiwanis membership! All PA district Kiwanians are encouraged to register now at https://bit.ly/PAVirtualLearning to reserve your spot!

In my next blog I will continue to update you on the progress of the new clubs in Ebensburg and in Titusville. We are excited to share Kiwanis in these new communities! I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all Pennsylvania Kiwanians and the staff at Kiwanis International who have contributed to the establishment of the two new clubs. As a reminder, one of my objectives as Governor is to open seven new clubs within the district this year.  We are on our way; this year isn’t over yet! Your support is invaluable in achieving this goal. As a follow up to The May Governor’s Membership Challenge winner will be announced at my next blog on June 17th.  We are excited to see the results!

Club Reminders

Just a friendly reminder:

  • Club elections should have been completed before June 1st and should now be posted on your club’s Secretary dashboard. If the elections reports have not been completed, all club secretaries are encouraged to do so at your earliest convenience to ensure new club officers receive information about club leadership education in your area this summer.
  • Kiwanis Kash Raffle is underway!  Kiwanis Kash tickets were mailed out to your club secretary. Your support in purchasing or assisting with the sale of these tickets is most appreciated and we are excited to see who wins the three top cash prizes. The proceeds from ticket sales directly contribute to supporting the District’s programs benefiting our members and service leadership program
members!  Thank you for your participation!
  • 2024 District Convention registration will be open this week watch out for announcements via email to club officers, Facebook and website!

Thank you for all you do as Kiwanians for the kids. We can do much more by “Growing Membership for the Kids!”
