The Power of Learning from Others By Matt Wise, PA District Membership Coordinator
August 26, 2024 – We are fresh off of a fantastic Pennsylvania-New Jersey Joint District Convention. It was great to see so many of you and meet new members from both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. At the convention, we heard from many leaders on the importance that membership has within our organization. Afterall, we are a member-driven and volunteer-led group of caring individuals who want to see the best for our communities.
During the new officer installations, we also saw a lot of new faces who have volunteered to lead the organization. Congratulations to them! It is great to see this, but they’ll need everyone’s help.
New leaders bring new perspectives and fresh ideas, but they’ll also need to learn about our clubs as well. The membership committee is asking you to be open with your Lieutenant Governor and Trustee so that they can know how best to advise you and your club. We are hopeful that our existing clubs will request a club coach next year to help them strenghten their club – not just with membership issues, but also in general. There are so many resources available that our leaders have access to which will only serve your club well. If implemented, they will help your community ten-fold because of the impact they have on your administration.
