Happy Spring Pennsylvania District! The first day of Spring was this past Friday…days will getting longer and the weather will be getting warmer (eventually…lol) Many of you will be hosting Easter Egg Hunts in the coming weeks as well as gearing up for your spring and summer events for your communities and kids. 5K Runs, pancake breakfasts, pasta dinners and raffles to raise money and service projects like community and park cleanups, reading, movies in the park and honoring graduates with scholarships…just to name a few. It is a wonderful time to be a Kiwanian!
April marks the halfway point of the Kiwanis year and a great time to take some time to reflect on the year thus far. See and consider all of the lives you have impacted with your literacy efforts, food distributions, school supplies distributions and mentoring of our SLP’s, providing them leadership and guidance. Also think about what the rest of this Kiwanis year holds… how can you ensure and improve your membership experience? What is YOUR WHY in Kiwanis and how is it being met? What service will your club be providing the kids in your communities? Have the community’s needs changed and is there an unmet need? Can you bring new service to the community? As Kiwanians, we do our best to be there and support our kids and communities. How can we finish this year strong, solidify our clubs’ legacy? Who can you share the Kiwanis experience with?
Spring into action to support your Kiwanis Club to be THE BEST IT CAN BE. Use the resources available through Achieving Club Excellence (ACE) tools. Reach out to your Lt. Governor, Trustee, Club Coach with question or concerns. Reach out to me to share your Kiwanis journey and experience and if there is anything I can do to support you or your club. Become a Club Coach or mentor for a new member. Let Kiwanis feed your need to give and support.
