District Governor

The District Governor is chair and top officer of the District and shall preside at all conventions and at all meetings of the Board of Trustees. He or she shall be an ex-officio member of all standing and special committees. Under the direction and supervision of the Board of Trustees of Kiwanis International, the Governor shall have the duty of furthering the objects of Kiwanis International and of promoting the interests of the clubs within the district. It shall be the Governor’s duty to attend any convention of Kiwanis International and promote the programs and goals of Kiwanis International.

Professional Experience

Tom enjoyed a 35 year career working for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, primarily for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), an agency that provides employment-related services for people with disabilities. He was a Rehabilitation
Counselor, Supervisor, and Administrator for the Allentown District OVR Office.

He retired in 2006 as OVR’s Director of Central Office Operations in Harrisburg. In 2008 Tom came out of retirement to serve as County Administrator for Northampton County, Pa. In 2014, Tom retired for the second, and final time, in order to devote more time to Kiwanis.
