It is hard to believe that the first month of the new Kiwanis year is almost over! Kiwanis International has recently released the end-of-year numbers for the 2022-2023 year. I’m happy to report, on behalf of Immediate Past Governor Mike Coolbaugh, that we finished the year at -87. Happy, you ask? Certainly. It isn’t perfect, but for the first time in at least the last five years, we see a member drop that is less than 100. Much thanks to our new club building efforts and those clubs that have seen incredible growth over the last year, we have momentum that has been carried over and I’m excited to see this number even smaller next year.
We’ve seen clubs who have implemented tools and resources from Kiwanis International. While there are far too many to detail here, I’ll point you to the Kiwanis International Club Toolbox page – where you can spend hours, if not days, diving through everything membership. You don’t have to use it all, but the point simply is that there is something for everyone – and every situation. We know that many of you have been looking at membership and asking how to increase your impact on the community. This page is a good place to start. If you are interested in learning more about something you see here, please reach out to me using the contact us form on the District’s website. I’ll be happy to engage in a conversation and, where feasible, meet with your club and work through some ideas.
Here’s to an awesome year to come!
