CULTIVATING K-FAMILY EXPERIENCES AND OUTREACH

Hello PA Kiwanians! There has been a lot going on since my last blog post…

First, our District is growing! I want to formally welcome our newest club–The Kiwanis Club of Beaver County! They are in Region 2, Division 5. They organized on 2/11/2026 and are very excited to begin serving their community and children. Let’s give a warm welcome to our newest club! We are also continuing this growth momentum in March with a New Club Opening in Bethlehem scheduled the week after MidYear.

Over the next month or so, there are several opportunities to cultivate the Kiwanis and K-Family experience for you, your club, children you interact with and your sponsored Service Leadership Programs. I am looking forward to seeing most of you at our MidYear Conference on Saturday, March 7. There will be a dynamite Keynote Speaker, informative workshops, interactions with our Key Club and Circle K Governors and service projects. We will also welcome our Kiwanis International Trustee Counselor, Cathy Tutty, from the Montana District! We will have fellowship and time to catch up with one another. It is going to be an amazing time in Boalsburg and I hope to see you there!

Read Across PA is the week of March 8-15. Imagine the collective impact if all PA Kiwanis Clubs read to children in the same week? See the link in this bi-weekly email for more information.

Circle K District Convention (DCON) is March 28-29 at Bucknell University in Lewisburg PA. Key Club DCON is April 10-12 at the Harrisburg Hilton. Key Leader, an immersive, transformational leadership weekend is April 24-26 at South Mountain YMCA Camp. Registration is open for all these Conventions and events. Please consider supporting these events through informing your SLP’s about them and encouraging/supporting their attendance. Also consider possibly providing financial assistance/ sponsorships as these events will support the Youth and Service Leadership Programs that you work with to grow in servant leadership and cultivate their K-Family experience and journey.

Kiwanis International Amplify, a professional development curriculum through asynchronous learning modules, is also available and registration is open. Go to kiwanis.org/amplify for more information.

Our PA District is in full bloom with opportunities to learn, grow and engage your Kiwanis experience. Please discuss these upcoming events and opportunities at club meetings to ensure everyone is well informed. Please consider any/all these opportunities to help you along your Kiwanis journey. Many Hands…Making a Difference.
